Private sessions are a wonderful introduction for those new to yoga. One on one instruction is the best way to assess and meet your individual needs. Mums and Bubs Yoga

Prenatal Yoga classes provide an opportunity for expectant women to develop greater vitality and awareness of their body while deepening their relationship with their baby. Gentle postures, breath work and meditation are taught to develop flexibility, calmness and confidence in preparation for labour. Women are able to enhance their ability to access greater relaxation, comfort, and enjoyment. Calmness and flexibility ease the birthing process. Prenatal yoga helps reduce pain and increases the joy of giving birth. See Workshops and Courses for further information.

Mums & Bubs Postnatal Yoga classes are available to new mothers (and their babies) after their 6-8 week medical check. The aim of these sessions is to:

  • Provide an opportunity for "self-nurturing" and to develop close bonding with your baby
  • Assist you to gently regain physical strength, tone muscles, concentrating on the pelvic-floor, back and abdomen.
  • Provide a well-balanced programme of postures, breathing and relaxation techniques that can be modified to suit each individual's needs. Gentle enough for those recovering from Caesarean, episiotomy or other medical procedures.
  • Teach relaxation techniques that can be used throughout "every-day" life.

 

Yoga for kids coming soon!

Bring the joys of yoga to children as they stand like a tree, stretch like a cat and roar like a lion. This program is interactive, educational and fun. Yoga has a powerfully calming effect on active bodies and minds. Som kids helps improve strength, flexibility and concentration.

A simple and effective golf program designed to strengthen the body and mind to improve game performance.

These key techniques will be explored in class.

Breathing – Developing breathing techniques and understanding the direct correlation to performance.
Flexibility - Yoga based conditioning based on three approaches
Strength - Sport specific yoga based strength training
Balance - A progressive, dynamic balance conditioning sequence
Correct posture - The foundation of a good golf swing

 

Yoga for Seniors

Yoga for those 55+ is a gentle yoga program for seniors to improve strength and flexibility. Poses will be modified to suit individual needs. Safe, gentle, slow and controlled movements and breathing exercises help to increase muscle tone and strength, co-ordination and balance while reducing anxiety and depression. Many of my older students say they look forward to yoga and recognise the way it keeps their bodies supple and strong while giving a feeling of well-being and increased energy.
